• At Paradise Waxing Spa, we use only the most trusted names in professional waxing products. Our favorite is Cirepil by Perron Rigot of Paris. The family of Cirepil waxes represents the finest in professional waxing. These waxes heat at a lower temperature, are less sticky, and contain anti-irritants. We use non-woven strips and soft wax for larger areas of the body such as the legs, arms, chest, and back. For your comfort, hard waxes are utilized for sensitive areas like eyebrows, lips, necklines, face, underarms, and for Brazilian waxing. Additionally, Paradise Waxing Spa uses specialty waxes called Vegetale & Greenepil which are perfect for all hair lengths, textures and for in-grown hairs. These products will leave you with smooth skin, as well as lighter and softer hair regrowth. 

The Waxing Experience

• Some clients will be well versed in the ins and outs of waxing. Many, however, have never experienced the process and may have questions or feel apprehensive. For these individuals, we will try and put your mind at ease with an explanation of what to expect.
• It’s a given that there is some discomfort associated with waxing. There’s no getting around it. However, each individual has their own unique level of pain tolerance so what may be mild for some, may be intense for others. The good news is that waxing discomfort is brief and resolves quickly, and we use multiple techniques to reduce the pain.
• Immediately following your waxing, it may take your skin about 24-hours to reacclimate. During this time, avoid swimming, spray tans or tanning beds and limit your sun exposure.
• Paradise Waxing Spa wants this to be as pleasant of an experience as possible. For women, you may find that your skin is extra sensitive the week prior to and after your menstrual period. As such, we recommend you not schedule an appointment during those times. We understand the potential for embarrassment and are sensitive to your needs during the our waxing process. Our staff of professionals will gently work with you to minimize any awkwardness and put you at ease. For your comfort and convenience, we provide disposable wipes. For your added comfort, we suggest showering just prior to your appointment.
• We are often asked about hair regrowth and the frequency of treatments. As with pain tolerance, the rate at which hair regrows after a waxing is unique to each individual. Generally speaking, an average wax will last from 2-6 weeks. One of the perks of waxing is that the texture of the new hair after a waxing is usually thinner and softer. We suggest maintenance waxing when hair is no longer than ¼”-½”, which occurs about every 4-6 weeks.
  If you’ve made the decision for a Brazilian wax, our estheticians will be happy to discuss options with you to suit your needs and desires. You may request a variety of styles including geometric shapes, straight lines, etc. Let creativity be your guide. Enjoy, relax, and be sexy!
• Unfortunately, waxing is not appropriate for everyone. It is not recommended, and may result in a negative skin reaction, for individuals undergoing treatment for HIV and lupus, or radiation therapy, and for those who consume excessive amounts of caffeine or alcohol, or experiencing severe stress. Women who are pregnant can safely have waxing performed but we recommend checking with your physician before scheduling an appointment. Your health and wellness are of our utmost concern.
